Women's Golf Announces Spring 2024 Schedule


PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women’s golf announced the spring 2024 schedule on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Scarlet Knights are set for eight events, highlighted by the Rutgers Invitational, which the program will host at the Rutgers University Golf Course April 6-7.

The Big Ten Championship will take place at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Md. April 19-21.

“We are excited about the events we have lined up in the spring,” head coach Kari Williams said. “There are many opportunities to compete against nationally-ranked teams and sharpen our games under pressure before the Big Ten Championship in April. A specific weekend we are looking forward to is our home tournament, the Rutgers Invitational from April 6-7. Our team has been working towards that tournament since we started practicing in the fall and they are thrilled to compete at home ‘On the Banks.’ It continues to be a productive and focused offseason and we can’t wait to begin tournament play again in February.”

This spring, Rutgers kicks off the season in Florida Feb. 5-6 at the Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Fla., hosted by Florida Atlantic. 

Later in the month, RU will return to the Westbook invitational, hosted by Wisconsin Feb. 25-26 at Westbrook Village Golf Course in Peoria, Ariz. Last spring, the Scarlet Knights took 5th place out of a strong 14-team field and set the program record with a 54-hole score of 861.

The team’s first event in March is a second straight trip to the Briar’s Creek Invitational, hosted by College of Charleston March 11-12 at the Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, S.C. Rutgers finished in a tie for 11th at the event last year. 

The Scarlet Knights are right back on the road after that, heading to Hawaii for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at the Ocean Course Hokuala in Lihue, Hawaii from March 17-19.

RU will make another return trip to an event, competing in the Fresno State Classic from March 25-26 at San Joaquin Country Club in Fresno, Calif. The Scarlet Knights took 8th place last season at the event. 

For the first time since 2017, the program will host the Rutgers Invitational at the Rutgers University Golf Course. The Scarlet Knights took 3rd at the event in the fall of 2017, The event will take place this season April 6-7.
