SALT LAKE CITY – On Thursday, University of Utah Men’s Golf coach Garrett Clegg announced the newest addition to his program’s 2024 signing class in the person of Arizona native Trey Moore, who will be joining the Utes in time for the start of the 2024-25 season.
“We are excited to have Trey joining the ’24 class,” said Clegg. “He is an outstanding addition out of Scottsdale, Arizona. He is extremely athletic and has only focused on golf as his main sport for a few years. He is improving every week that he tees it up and I believe his golf game will continue to grow into something special here at the U!”
Moore comes to Utah after four years at Desert Mountain High School, where his list of accomplishments included being named his squad’s most improved player two years in-a-row. He also earned the program’s MVP award in 2023. He earned a varsity letter in baseball during his prep career as well.
Moore plans on pursuing a degree in business during his time at Utah and is the son of Jeremy and Kate Moore. His dad spent two seasons playing baseball at Point Loma College and his uncle, Ryan Moore, is a professional golfer on the PGA Tour.
