Give Adam Hadwin credit for leading a pretty fascinating life. Not only is he a successful PGA Tour pro, amassing over $20 million in career earnings as of early 2024, but the Canadian product also has a wife widely regarded as one of the best follows on social media and he’s perhaps best known for being tackled by a security guard while spraying a bottle of champagne.
A native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Hadwin started playing at Ledgeview Golf Club in British Columbia where his longtime pal Nick Taylor also played.
And it was after Taylor buried a 72-foot bomb on the fourth playoff hole of the 2023 RBC Canadian Open when Hadwin ran on the green, along with several other Canadian Tour players, to celebrate with him and shower him with champagne. A security guard didn’t recognize Hadwin in the moment and tackled him to the ground.
After winning his first PGA Tour title in 2017 at the Valspar Championship, Hadwin married Jessica Kippenberger, and the latter’s Twitter account has become one of the must-reads for both its humor and Tour life insight. The pair had to delay their honeymoon as Hadwin qualified for his first Masters with the victory.
Here’s a look at the golf career of the Hadwins in photos.
