Penn State Completes Spring-Opening Gators Invitational


Florida Gators Invitational Final Results
 
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Penn State men’s golf team wrapped up the first competition of its spring season Saturday as the Nittany Lions competed the third and final round of the Florida Gators Invitational.
 
Penn State finished 14th in the 15-team field at 31-over, 871. The Nittany Lions shot a 13-over, 293, in Saturday’s final round.
 
Patrick Sheehan led Penn State at 4-over, 214, and finished tied for 32nd. Sheehan shot a 3-over, 73, in Saturday’s final round.
 
Jake Griffin shot a 2-over, 72, Saturday and finished tied for 45th at 8-over, 218. Morgan Lofland carded a 4-over, 74, in the final round and finished the 54-hole tournament at 11-over, 221, and in a tie for 61st place.
 
Billy Pabst Jr. finished tied for 70th at 14-over, 224, while Jimmy Meyers placed tied for 72nd at 15-over, 225.
 
The Nittany Lions are back in action on March 4-5 at the Colleton River Collegiate in Hilton Head, S.C.
