RALEIGH, N.C. — Vanderbilt sophomore John Broderick tied for third place overall at the Wolfpack Individual this weekend with a 2-under-par 140 total over 36 holes.

Broderick earned his first collegiate top-five finish by notching a 2-under 69 on Saturday and an even-par 71 on Sunday. He punctuated his final-round back nine on Sunday with three consecutive birdies on Nos. 15-17. Broderick totaled seven birdies over 36 holes for his best career finish at Vanderbilt.

Fellow sophomore Ben Loomis and freshman Chase Nevins joined Broderick in Raleigh, forming the trio of Dores who added competitive experience under their belts this weekend at Lonnie Poole Golf Club. Loomis, who tied for 16th place, went 72 on Saturday and 75 on Sunday, ending the weekend with a total of 147. Nevins carded a 151 stroke total over two days, tying for 38th overall.

Vanderbilt men’s golf continues its spring season with a trip to the Cabo Collegiate from March 3-5. Last year, the Commodores took home the title at this event, finishing 12 strokes ahead of the field at the Twin Dolphin Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
