Murphy claimed his first career individual title by eight strokes at the Wolfpack Individual after shooting 11-under overall.
The Atlanta, Georgia, native shot a 2-under 69 in round one and a career-low 9-under 62 in round two.
His second-round 62 ties for the second-best 18-hole score in relation to par in program history and was the lowest round by a Vol golfer since Jack Smith in 2015.
Murphy led the field in birdies (12) and pars (23), with 10 birdies coming in the second round alone.
The win marked the ninth individual title under the direction of head coach Brennan Webb.
Tennessee will continue their spring slate at the Cabo Collegiate on Sunday, March 3.
