Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf now sits in second place following the suspension of the second round at the 2024 Gators Invitational. Teams played anywhere from 9-13 holes of round two, but the round was suspended due to darkness at 6:15 p.m.
Clemson was -1 when play was halted, with Chloe Holder continuing her strong day, tied for third. Annabelle Pancake was the only Tiger under par so far in round two, with two birdies and just one bogey through 13 holes.
The teams will return to the course on Saturday morning, resuming the second round at 8:00 a.m. and then rolling into the third and final round.
Clemson Third after First Round of Gators Invitational
Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf currently sits in third place after the first 18 holes of the Gators Invitational, held at the par-70, 6,002-yard Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.
After the threat of inclement weather moved the tournament start up a day, the Tigers shot 284 as a team, just six-shots out of first place. Arizona is currently in first at -2 following the first round, while UCF is in second at +2. Florida and Ole Miss are tied to round out the top five at +5.
Chloe Holder leads the Tigers individually, tied for fourth place overall at -3. She finished the first round with just one bogey, on her first hole of the day, while also carding four birdies. Isabella Rawl is tied for sixth after the first round at -1, after also recording four birdies. Annabelle Pancake and Melena Barrientos each finished the third round at +4, while Sydney Roberts finished at +6.
