Terrapins Set for Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate


COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Maryland men’s golf team will compete in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate this week at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. The Terrapins will open the tournament Monday with two rounds, with the final round on Tuesday.

Freshman Manato Nakatani and Yang Kuang, sophomore Armand Papaziani, junior Florian Huerlimann and graduate student Ben Cooper will be competing for the Terrapins. 

The Terps will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Live scoring will be available here. The Palmetto Golf Club is a par-70 course. 

Maryland will compete against tournament-host USC Aiken, Army West Point, Boise State, Dartmouth, Davidson, East Carolina, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Mercer, Presbyterian, Samford, Temple and Virginia Tech.

The Terrapins finished 11th of 17 teams competing in the Dorado Beach Collegiate at TPC Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico last week. The Terrapins posted their lowest round of the season with a score of 277 in the second round. Huerlimann, Nakatani and Kuang led the Terps, as they tied for 28th and each earned a score of 140.
