PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – The No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt men’s golf team returns to action this week, as the Commodores head out to the Golden State to participate in the 2024 Pauma Valley Invitational. The two-day tournament gets underway Monday.

Tournament Format
The 2024 Pauma Valley Invitational, hosted by Loyola Marymount, will be held at the Pauma Valley Country Club. Teams will play two 18-hole rounds of stroke play on Monday, with the final round taking place Tuesday.

Course Information
The 2024 Pauma Valley Invitational takes place at the Pauma Valley Country Club in Pauma Valley, California. It is a 7,311-yard course that plays as a par 71.

The Field
A total of 14 teams will participate in the 2024 Pauma Valley Invitational. Along with the No. 3-ranked Commodores, the field features a total of three squads ranked inside the top 25 of the Scoreboard rankings, powered by Clippd.

Teams playing at the Pauma Valley Invitational include No. 10 Oklahoma, No. 18 California, BYU, Colorado State, Fresno State, Oklahoma State, Pacific, Saint Mary’s, San Diego, SMU, TCU, UCLA, and host LMU.

The first day of the Pauma Valley Invitational gets underway with an 11 a.m. CT shotgun start. Pairings can be found at GolfStat.com. Pairings for Tuesday’s Round 3 will be set after the first two rounds of play.

“This is a new event and we are excited to play here. It’s an opportunity to grow and play on some different grass against different competition. Both things we think can help us moving forward. We know we can be better than we were our last time out, both physically and mentally. We have to keep earning the right to be the toughest team we can be. I’m excited to have Jackson back with us and I am excited to see this group compete together.”

The Last Time Out
The No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt men’s golf team concluded the 2024 Cabo Collegiate in fourth place, as the Commodores ended the three-day tournament at 1-over 853.
