Duke Signee Cañado Places T6 at Junior Invitational


GRANITEVILLE, S.C. Duke women’s golf incoming freshman Anna Cañada carded a tied for sixth-place finish at the 2024 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville, S.C., which concluded on Saturday.
 
Over the three days, Cañada carded rounds of 74, 71 and 73 to finish with a 2-over, 218.  She registered six birdies along with one eagle over the 54 holes of play. 
 
Asterisk Talley posted a 9-under, 207, to win the individual title with Rianna Malixi posting a 3-under, 213, to finish second. 
 
The 13th annual Junior Invitational featured 36 of the top junior boy players and 24 of the top girls in the world. Recognized by Golfweek as the No. 1 junior event in golf, the Junior Invitational welcomes the best golfers from around the world to Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville, S.C. Founded in 2011, the Junior Invitational has become one of the most desired invitations in the world of competitive junior golf.
