CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With the golf world preparing to turn its attention to The Masters next week, four former Fighting Illini are in action this week on the PGA TOUR, Korn Ferry Tour, and LIV Golf League.

PGA TOUR

Fresh off the Houston Open – which was highlighted by a runner-up finish from Thomas Detry and weekend action for both Nick Hardy and Adrien Dumont de Chassart – The PGA TOUR remains in the Lonestar State again this week at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.

Detry will not tee off at TPC San Antonio, however, after finishing just one shot shy of his first-career victory at Memorial Park. Detry’s T2 finish is his second-career runner-up on the PGA TOUR, and his second top-five finish of the season after finishing T4 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February. He has now climbed to  No. 27 in the FedEx Cup rankings and is 64th in the world, one spot off his career-best OWGR rank.

Hardy and Dumont de Chassart will be in the field in San Antonio coming off finishes of 57th and 81st, respectively. Hardy broke through for his sixth made cut of the season and his first since a stretch of five straight to open the season in January and early February. Dumont de Chassart played through the weekend for the fourth time in nine events to open his rookie campaign.

Hardy will play in the Valero Texas Open for the third time in his career. He tied for 28th at the event in 2023.

KORN FERRY TOUR

Brian Campbell returns to the course as the Korn Ferry Tour schedule resumes this week at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah, Ga. Campbell is currently fourth on the Korn Ferry Tour points list, having posted top-five finishes in two of his last three events entering play this week in Georgia.

LIV GOLF LEAGUE

Thomas Pieters tees off Friday at the LIV Golf event in Miami at Trump National Doral. The RangeGoats are currently eighth in the team standings, having followed a third-place team finish at Las Vegas with a 12th-place at Jeddah, and an 11th-place at Hong Kong.
