AUGUSTA, Ga. — The prices of two patron favorites have increased ahead of the 2024 Masters Tournament: beer and the Georgia peach ice cream sandwich.
Domestic and imported beers, as well as Crow’s Nest — the wheat ale craft beverage brewed exclusively for the Masters — have gone up $1 from last April, moving the price to $6.
The ice cream sandwich will be $3, compared to $2.50 in 2023.
“We believe that one of the reasons the Masters is popular with patrons of the game is because they can obtain good food and drink at reasonable prices,” Clifford Roberts wrote in his 1976 book, “The Story of Augusta National Golf Club.”
Beer prices have steadily increased over the past two decades, while the cost of sandwiches have remained constant.
In 2000, beer was $1.75, while a pimento cheese sandwich was $1.25.
In 2008, beer was $2. The pimento cheese classic was $1.50, which is where it remains in 2024.
By 2023, all beer prices had risen to $5, while this week marks the first time that patrons will pay $6.
