NAPA, Calif. – Washington’s Camille Boyd posted her seventh straight under-par round and finished Monday’s first round at the Chevron Silverado Showdown in a tie for seventh place, with a 2-under 70.

As a team, the UW finished the first of three rounds in a tie for eighth place with a team score of 7-over 295.

Boyd, a senior from Yorba Linda, Calif., who has finished first and second in her two most recent competitions, spent some time atop the leaderboard Monday at the Silverado Resort North Course.
