Men's Golf Ends Regular Season At Tiger Collegiate Invitational


COLUMBIA, Mo. – Rutgers men’s golf wrapped up their spring season with a 14th place finish at the Tiger Collegiate Invitational hosted by University of Missouri.

Xavier Marcoux continued his strong spring as he placed T38 out of a big field of 104 golfers. He shot 2-under in the last two rounds with nine birdies, including four in a row in the back nine of round 2.

Luke Wells and Weston Jones both kicked off the event strong shooting 1-under with 14 pars in round 1. Rhett Sellers tied for 11th in the tournament with 37 pars.

Sellers and Jones both record eagles in round three. Sellers eagled a 422 yard par 4 on hole 1 to kick off his back nine after starting on hole 10. Jones scored his eagle on a 450 yard par 4 on hole 13.

With their first NCAA berth in 20 years still on the line, the Scarlet Knights will travel to Columbus, Ohio to participate in the Big Ten Championships on Friday April 26th.
