Virginia Men's Golf | Virginia Opens Play at ACC Championships

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 13 Virginia men’s golf team opened play at the 2024 ACC Championships on Friday by shooting 2-over 286 at the Charlotte Country Club. The Cavaliers ended the round tied for 10th place. Wake Forest leads the 12-team field at 13-under 271.

Virginia was led by a pair of even-par performance from Bryan Lee and George Duangmanee on the par-71 course. That duo is tied for 20th place. Ben James and Deven Patel are one shot back on the leaderboard in 35th place while Josh Duangmanee shot 73 and is in 44th position.

The tournament runs through Monday with one round of stroke play on Saturday and Sunday before the match play semifinals and finals on Monday.

UVA will be paired with Boston College and Notre Dame during the second round. Those teams will tee off starting at 10 a.m. from the 10th tee.
