Maryland Wraps Up at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate


COLUMBUS, OH — The Maryland men’s golf team wrapped up at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Sunday at The Ohio State University Scarlet Course in Columbus.

Sophomore Armand Papaziani  tied for 21st and led the way for Maryland with his score of 221 (+8). He shot a 71 in the first round Friday, then 75s in the second and third round. He picked up the best finish of the year. 

Freshman Yang Kuang and junior Florian Huerlimann both tied for 38th with score of 224 (+11). Kuang shot a 76 in the first round, a 77 in the second and a 71 in the third Sunday. Huerlimann started strong with a 71 Friday, then a 79 Saturday and a 74 Sunday.

Fifth-year Ben Cooper earned a score of 230 (74-80-76) and Ronnie Kim shot a 231 (76-82-73).

As a team, Maryland finished tied for 12th of 18 teams with its score of 896 (292-311-293).

The Terrapins will compete in the Big Ten Championships April 26-28 at the Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.
