Michigan State Golf to Host Summer Junior Clinics


East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State’s golf programs will be hosting three days of instruction to help golfers improve their games three times during the summer.

The first two clinics will be directed by men’s assistant coach and PGA Professional Chad Kurmel and the third clinic will be directed by Kurmel and MSU women’s assistant coach Patricia Sanz Barrio.

The clinics are open to any and all entrants and will be held at the Lasch Family Golf Center and the Forest Akers East Course on the MSU campus.

The clinics will include instructions on full swing and short game, as well as skill competitions throughout the day. In addition, there will be nine holes of on-course instruction at the Forest Akers East Course.

Session 1 will be held on Thursday, June 20, Session 2 will be on Wednesday, July 17 and the third session will be held on Thursday, August 8. The clinics are open to ages 12-to-17-years-old, cost $300 per session and will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Entrants are required to arrive with golf clubs and shoes.
