PULLMAN, Wash. – No. 1 nationally ranked STANFORD shattered the team scoring record and USC sophomore Catherine Park broke the individual scoring mark to cap the 2024 Pac-12 Women’s Golf Championships at Palouse Ridge Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Cardinal captured its first Conference title since 2014 and third all-time (1999) behind a trio of top-10 finishers in sophomore runner-up Kelly Xu (10-under 206), classmate Megha Ganne (T-4, 7-under 209) and senior Rachel Heck (T-7, 4-under 212).
Stanford’s 28-under-par 836 total (286-274-276) bettered the previous Championships low of 18-under 846 set by USC in 2016.
Park punctuated an all-time Pac-12 Championships performance with a 33-foot eagle on the par-5 18th to finish at a record 15-under 201 (70-64-67), eclipsing former Stanford phenom Rose Zhang’s 12-under 204 set last spring.
Pac-12 programs now turn their attention to postseason competition which will begin with NCAA Regional play May 6-8 followed by the NCAA Championships hosted by Texas at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., May 17-22. The NCAA Selection Show will air on GOLF Channel on Wednesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. PT.
