Women’s Golf Finishes 10th in 2024 Pac-12 Championships


PULLMAN, Wash. (April 23, 2024) – Washington State women’s golf finished the 2024 Women’s Golf Pac-12 Championships in 10th place at 22-over, 886 at the par-72 Palouse Ridge Golf Club following a 15-over score of 303 in the event’s final round.

Stanford won the event with a 28-under score of 836 while Catherine Park of USC placed first among the individual golfers, coming in at 15-under, 201.

Junior Madelyn Gamble finished the championships in a tie for 26th place with a three-round score of 2-over, 218. She bogeyed her first hole of round three before settling in and scoring 11-straight pars to sit 1-over going into her final six holes. A birdie and a par on her final two holes followed a tough stretch on the back nine as she finished the round at 5-over, 77.

Junior Sarah Skovgaard-Bils ended with a three-round score of 4-over, 220 to place tied for 32nd. She ended with a 3-over, 75 in round three after shooting an even front nine which included a birdie and a bogey. She added one more birdie on hole 12, but a couple of bogeys and a double-bogey the rest of the way would put her score at 3-over.

Freshman Alice Johansson ended the tournament in 46th place at 10-over, 226 following her round-three score of 3-over, 75. A birdie and three bogeys put her 2-over at the turn, and another birdie on hole 10 got her to 1-over. She tallied one more birdie on 17 before going on to end the day at 3-over.

Sophomore Hannah Harrison finished at 11-over, 227 in 47th place after a 4-over, 76 score in round three. She was 5-over at the turn, but settled in on the back nine, using birdies on 16 and 17 to end the round on a seven-hole stretch that saw two birdies and five pars.

Junior Emily Cadwell finished the championships in 48th place at 13-over, 229. She went 6-over, 78 in the event’s final round, scattering four bogeys on the front nine and two on the back end in between her 12 pars on the day.
