CAREFREE, Ariz. – After three rounds at the Pac-12 Championships, No. 10 Washington sits tied for second, three shots off the lead, at Desert Forest Golf Club.

Entering the round at the top of the leaderboard with a seven shots up on second, Washington faltered slightly in the third round, falling three shots behind host Arizona State.

“Overall it was a battle out there,” head coach Alan Murray said. “We couldn’t really get anything going on the greens despite tee to green being pretty solid. “It was a day for patience and just hanging in there. We finished nicely to keep us in that final group for tomorrow”

Bo Peng had the Huskies’ best day, posting 15 pars in addition to a pair of bogeys and a birdie to finish one-over. Petr Hruby also shot 15 pars on Saturday, registering a four-over 74. Hruby will enter Sunday’s final round tied for 10th at five-over overall.

Teddy Lin and Taehoon Song also fired 74s on Saturday, sitting 12th and tied for 18th, respectively, at six over and nine over.

Finn Koelle, who posted a seven-over 78 in the third round, joins song at tied for 18th. Peng isn’t far behind, tied for 24th at 11-over overall, while Drew Warford finds himself tied for 34th at 14-over after posting a 79 on Saturday.

“Today was not the score we hoped for but this is a 72-hole tournament and we have 18 more to go,” Murray said. “We are excited to compete tomorrow and try win a championship.”

The Huskies will tee off from hole No. 1 on Sunday at 8:36 a.m. PT., beginning with Warford
