The Orange and Blue have now qualified for each of the last 16 NCAA regionals, and will make their 19th appearance, overall, under head coach Mike Small. Small has led the Illini to five NCAA Regional titles.
Hosted by Stanford University, the regional will be held at the Cardinal’s Stanford Golf Course (Par 70 / 6,727 yards). The 54-hole event will be contested May 13-15, with 18 holes of competition set for each day.
Illinois is the region’s No. 3 seed and will be joined by: (1) Florida State, (2) Ole Miss, (4) Texas A&M, (5) Stanford, (6) UCLA, (7) SMU, (8) Missouri, (9) Fresno State, (10) UNLV, (11) Augusta, (12) Liberty, (13) Sacramento State and (14) Siena.
