Women’s Golf Fourth After NCAA Regional Round One – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

Bryan, Texas – Clemson women’s golf shot a 291 (+3) on Monday to finish the first round of the NCAA Bryan Regional in fourth place. The top-five teams after 54 holes of stroke play advance to the National Championship Tournament in Carlsbad, Calif., May 17-22. 

The Tigers struggled on the front nine, carding just three birdies overall, but turned it up on the back nine, with eight. Annabelle Pancake finished the day at -1 to lead Clemson, after shooting even through the first nine holes and -1 on the back nine. She’s currently tied for sixth overall.

Isabella Rawl finished the day at even par (72). Rawl turned in Clemson’s first front nine birdie after starting the day with a bogey on one, before birdieing two of her first four holes on the back nine. She’s currently tied for 12th overall. 

Melena Barrientos and Sydney Roberts are both tied for 22nd at +2 following the first round. Both players each tallied two birdies on the day, with both of the Texas-native Barrientos’ coming in the last five holes of the day. Chloe Holder rounded out the Tigers’ lineup with a +4 on the afternoon, despite finishing both nine and 18 with birdie. She’s tied for 39th overall.

Clemson returns to the course on Tuesday, at 9:00 am eastern (8:00 am local time) and will tee off of hole #10 and be paired with Iowa State and Ohio State.
