Gamble Takes a Stroke off Round Two Score at Regionals


CLE ELUM, Wash. (May 6, 2024) – Washington State women’s golf junior Madelyn Gamble wrapped up day two of the 2024 NCAA Cle Elum Regionals in a tie for 61st with a two-round score of 15-over, 159 at the par-72, 6,306-yard Tumble Creek Golf Club.

Gamble got off to a hot start with birdies on holes 10 and 15, and despite a bogey on hole 13, she was 1-under through six holes. She would make the turn sitting at 2-over, but scattered five bogeys on the front nine as she completed round two at 7-over, 79.

Stanford’s Paula Martin Sampedro currently leads the individual field with an 8-under score of 136 after two rounds, while the Stanford squad also sits atop the team leaderboard at 18-under, 558.

Gamble will continue with the final day of the 2024 NCAA Cle Elum Regionals with a 10:50 a.m. PT round-three tee time on Wednesday, May 8.
