University of Missouri men’s golf added a pair of All-Atlantic 10 golfers from VCU on Thursday, signing Mattias Varjun and Veikka Viskari to the 2024-25 roster.
The duo helped lead the Rams to the 2024 Atlantic 10 title – the program’s first in five years – as they both placed in the top 10 at the conference championship and earned all-conference accolades. VCU also advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2024 with both golfers finishing 34th at the regional in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Varjun is a two-time selection to the All-Atlantic 10 Team and has one year of eligibility remaining, while Viskari earned the honor in his first collegiate season and has three years of eligibility remaining.
“Mattias and Veikka are great additions to our program,” said Missouri head coach Glen Millican. “They both come to Mizzou with experience and success that will make an immediate impact on our program. We look forward to them joining us in August and believe they will thrive in Columbia with Mizzou Golf!”
