USC Women’s Golf Adds Beth Wu to Coaching Staff

LOS ANGELES – USC women’s golf team has hired Beth Wu to the position of assistant coach, head coach Justin Silverstein announced on Friday, June 7. 

“We are very fortunate to have Beth Wu joining our program for the upcoming season. Beth encapsulates everything we are looking for when having someone join our program,” Silverstein said about Wu. “Her vast playing resume and understanding of the benefits of playing collegiate golf in a major metropolitan city will make her an incredible asset to our talented student-athletes.”

“I’d like to thank USC, Justin Silverstein and Paul Perrier for this extraordinary opportunity. This program has had a long, successful history, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team and our support staff to provide the best experience for our student-athletes,” Wu said. “Can’t wait to get back to LA!”

Wu had served the last two years as an assistant coach on the University of Florida women’s golf staff, as she joined the program prior to the 2022-23 season. During her latest season with the Gators, Wu helped lead the team to three consecutive team titles to open the fall season. Florida ended the 2023-24 season in the NCAA East Lansing Regional, as it finished seventh out of the 12 teams that participated. 

The second-year assistant coach worked alongside some of the best talent in the country as she helped guide the Gators Annabell Fuller to her second and third All-SEC selection and helped pave the way for her first Golfweek All-American honor. 

Before jumping into her coaching career, Wu spend the previous three years (2020-22) on the Epson Tour. During her playing career she posted four top-10 finishes, including two runner-up outings in 2021 at the Garden City Charity Classic and the Donald Ross Classic. She finished 11th on the Epson Tour money list in the same season. In 2022, Wu played in the U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles. 

Prior to joining the professional landscape, Wu was a four-year member of the UCLA women’s golf team from 2015-19. She collected her second All-American nod in her senior season in addition to being a four-time All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. Wu notched two collegiate wins in her senior season, including the prestigious PING/ASU Invitational.
