DURHAM â Six different members of the Duke women’s golf program are set for competitive action this upcoming week with Katie Li, Emma McMyler, Andie Smith, Rylie Heflin, Anna CaĂąado Espinal and Carla De Troia teeing it up in Europe and the United States.Â

Li to Stay Home and Compete in New Jersey Women’s Amateur
Rising sophomore Katie Li will see action in the 99th Women’s Amateur Championship June 24-27 at the Watchung Valley Golf Club in Watchung, N.J.

All golfers will play 36 holes of stroke play qualifying on June 24-25. The top 16 golfers advance to match play on June 26-27.Â

Smith, Heflin Set for North & South Women’s Amateur
The duo of junior Andie Smith and senior Rylie Heflin will compete locally in Pinehurst, N.C., in the North & South Women’s Amateur June 25-29 on Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 8 courses. Tee times will be released closer to the event starting on Tuesday.

The event will feature 36 holes of stroke play followed by match play action. The top 32 golfers advance to match play. Duke has featured five winners of the event with Gina Kim most recently taking home the title in 2021. Other winners include Brittany Lang (2003), Candy Hannemann (2000), Beth Bauer (1999, 1998) and Stephanie Sparks (1992).

McMyler to Play in Women’s Texas Amateur
Emma McMyler will tee it up for the first time since graduating from Duke in the 103rd Women’s Texas Amateur, which will take place June 25-28 at the Spanish Oaks Golf Club in Austin, Texas.

The Amateur will have 18 holes of stroke play qualifying on June 25 with the top 32 individuals moving on to match play.Â

McMyler is a two-time champion in the event as she won it in 2022 and 2021.

Women’s Amateur Championship Up Next for De Troia
Incoming freshman Carla De Troia will play with some of the top amateurs in the world this week as she competes in the 121st Women’s Amateur Championship June 24-29 in St. Andrews, Scotland.Â

The 144-strong field will take part in the stroke play stage on June 24-25 with 36 holes. The top 64 golfers will then advance to the match play stage from June 26-29.Â

Duke’s Leona Maguire (2017) and Celine Boutier (2015) have each taken home the title in the past.Â
