Utah Men’s Golf Announces 2024-25 Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY – Just over two months after concluding their most recent campaign at the 2024 NCAA Championships, the University of Utah men’s golf team has announced their full schedule for the 2024-25 season, the program’s first as a member of the Big 12 Conference.

The Utes are scheduled to take part in 11 total tournaments prior to the start of postseason play, the same number they participated in during the 2023-24 regular season. The 12th competition on the docket for coach Garrett Clegg‘s crew will be the team’s first-ever trip to the Big 12 Championships, which are slated for April 22 – 24 at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.

For the first time since 2016, Utah will begin a season in Pullman, Wash., the site of the Palouse Collegiate on Sept. 10 – 11, which will be followed by another trip to the Apple State for the Tindall Invitational, hosted by the Members Club at Aldarra on Sept. 23 – 24 in Sammamish, Wash.

On Sept. 30 – Oct. 1, Clegg will take his team to the Mark Simpson Collegiate at the Colorado National Golf Course in Erie, Colo. The Utes won this tournament in the fall of 2017 and took second in 2021. On Oct. 7 – 9, Utah will head to Hockley, Texas for Big 12 Match Play at the Houston Oaks Country Club, followed by The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate at the Preserve on Oct. 28 – 29, which will conclude the program’s fall schedule.

The spring will begin with a familiar journey, as the Utes will travel to Lihue, Hawaii for three days at the John Burns Intercollegiate on Feb. 13 – 15 and the team’s March slate will start with the Desert Mountain Collegiate, hosted by the University of Michigan on March 8 – 9 at Outlaw Course Desert Mountain in Arizona.

Utah will be back in Arizona again on March 17 – 18 for the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate, then they’ll take a trip to The Goodwin in San Francisco, where Braxton Watts scored his first collegiate victory in the spring of 2024 and the Utes posted a score of even-par to place second in a field of 31 teams. The 2024-25 regular season will then conclude with the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate on April 11 – 12.
