SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The 20th ranked Washington men’s golf team plays host to some of the best talent college golf has to offer over the weekend, hosting the Sahalee Players Championship Sept. 6-7 at Sahalee Country Club.
It is the second iteration of the prestigious tournament in its current format, quickly becoming identified as one of the premier collegiate tournaments of the fall.
The field for the SPC will feature nine teams ranked in the 2024-25 Golfweek Preseason Rankings in No. 2 Arizona State, No. 9 Florida, No. 10 North Carolina, No. 15 Arizona, No. 18 Texas A&M, No. 19 Oklahoma State, No. 20 Washington, No. 23 Duke and No. 25 Oregon.
Top programs in Northwestern, Pepperdine, TCU and UNLV will also be in the field in Sammamish.
Play at Sahalee will begin on Saturday with 36 continuous holes being played before action wraps up with Sunday’s third and final round. The SPC will feature a par 72 course measured at 7,007 yards.
The Huskies will feature a new-look lineup in 2024-25 after the departure of four graduates a season ago. Seniors Drew Warford and Justin Hopkins return for the Dawgs along with sophomore Finn Koelle. UW also welcomes five true freshman to its roster.
Washington will be paired with Oklahoma State and Florida for rounds one and two, teeing off at 7:20 a.m. PT from hole No. 1.
