Tigers Improve by Six Strokes in Day Two at Kentucky


The University of Missouri women’s golf team competed in round two of the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on Monday, improving their score by six strokes and carding a 297. 

Sophomore Fleur van Beek continued a strong opening tournament, carding a two-over 74 to remain in contention as part of a five-way tie for second.

Senior Ffion Tynan also remained in the top 10, posting another one-over 73 to finish the second round in an eight-way tie for eighth.

Junior Jade Zamora posted a two-over 74, improving on her first round by four shots and climbing seven spots in the rankings to 31st. Zamora’s performance was highlighted by a one-under front nine, including three birdies.

As a team, the Tigers are seventh of 11 schools at +24 with TCU leading after day two at +7.

Final round tees off on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. CT.
