Companies continue expanding golf entertainment access across the U.S. and abroad.
Five Iron Golf is emblematic of that growth, having expanded steadily since opening its first location in 2017 in the Flatiron District of New York City. It now has almost 30 locations both in the U.S. and abroad, with a handful more set to open in the next calendar year, including its Dubai location, which will be its largest venue to date.
Five Iron Golf is now rolling out the start of its Fall 2024 League season. Set to begin on September 16, the season will last eight weeks, with players using Trackman simulators at Five Iron locations on three continents. Players can compete in virtual recreations of famous courses such as Pinehurst No. 2, Royal Melbourne and St. Andrews.
Jared Solomon, co-founder and CEO of Five Iron Golf, said the league, which started with one location and a small group of participants in New York City, has grown into the largest indoor golf league in the U.S.
“We are always looking to give our golfers access to incredible opportunities while maintaining the convenience of playing in their city, after work,” he said. “Competing on a global stage, culminating in Dubai, our most expansive location yet, underscores our commitment to top-tier golf experiences.”
The Fall League consists of two-person teams playing nine-hole rounds with rotating formats such as Scramble, Best Ball and “Greensomes” on Monday and Tuesday night time slots. Five Iron also offers other bonuses such as weekly drink specials and closest-to-the-pin contests.
Multiple prizes are up for grabs, including a four-night stay at The Westin Dubai, entry into the World Golf Competition, and other items such as golf equipment, complimentary one-month memberships at any Five Iron Golf location.
