The Vols are set to play three total rounds—teeing off with 18 holes Saturday, followed by 18 holes apiece on Sunday and Monday.
The event is set to be contested at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course, which also hosts the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open annually. The Greg Norman-designed course features narrow tree-line fairways and offers a challenging layout.
According to the Golfweek/Bushnell Coaches’ Poll, Tennessee is the fourth-highest rated team in the field. Additionally, eight out of the 15 participating teams are ranked inside the top 25.
Tennessee is coming off a third-place finish at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, as Lance Simpson and Jackson Herrington posted top-10 showings.
THE VOLS’ LINEUP
Lance Simpson
Simpson is coming on the heels of a career-high top-three finish at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, shooting 6-under overall with three consecutive par or better rounds.
Jackson Herrington
Freshman Jackson Herrington posted a top-10 finish in his collegiate debut at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. The Dickson, Tennessee, native shot 4-under overall, including a round-one 65.
Evan Woosley-Reed
Woosley-Reed opened the 2024-25 season tying for 33rd at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. The junior’s best round came on the second day of the event, where he posted a 66.
Bruce Murphy
Murphy also tied for 33rd at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, logging a 69 on day two.
Josh Hill
Hill rounds out the Vols’ five-man lineup. The junior’s best round in the first tournament came in round two when he fired a 70.

Pearce Lewin
The freshman competed individually at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, notching a top-25 finish with a pair of 69s in rounds two and three.
