Columbia, Mo. – The Missouri women’s golf returns home for its annual Johnie Imes Invitational. The event will take place at the Club at Old Hawthorne, teeing off on Monday, Sept. 23.
This will be the 16th time the Tigers have hosted this tournament, winning nine times since 2007.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The 2024 Johnie Imes Invitational is a two-day tournament, playing 36 holes of continuous play on Monday, with 18 holes of play on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes. Both days will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The 2024 field features teams from 13 different schools including Mizzou. The Tigers will compete alongside, Austin Peay, Barry, Bradley, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast, Howard, Illinois State, Missouri State, Morehead State, Murray State, and Omaha.
The par-72 course at The Club at Old Hawthorne measures 6,264 yards in length.
LAST TIME OUT
Mizzou comes back home following an eighth-place finish at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in a field of 11 teams, including a top-10 finish from sophomore Fleur van Beek, the second of her career.
LOOK AT LAST YEAR
Mizzou finished second in the tournament with a total team score of 862 (-2) trailing Lipscomb by two shots after the final round. Junior Melanie Walker looks to lead her team once again after last year’s second-place finish at five-under in the home tournament.
