WILMETTE, Ill. – Illinois women’s golf team finished the Windy City Collegiate Classic in 14th after a team total of 313 (+25) in today’s final round at Westmoreland Country Club.
Yurang Li and Victoria Zheng both ended the tournament tied for 35th. Li carded five birdies total during the two days of play and shot a 76 (+4) in today’s final round. Zheng tallied a total of six birdies and posted a 79 (+7) in her third round.
Brielle Mapanao finished the tournament tied for 51st, shooting a 79 (+7) in the final round. Mapanao carded three birdies today, totaling seven birdies throughout the tournament.
Anna Ritter ended the day in 70th after shooting a third round 79 (+7) and Lexanne Halama finished the tournament tied for 74th after recording an 82 (+10).
Erica Lee, competing as an individual, finished tied for 51st after carding a 75 (+3) during the final round.
Arizona State took home the team title at 11-over (875), led by Patience Rhodes firing a 70 (-2) in the final round. Southern California’s Jasmine Koo earned individual medalist honors, finishing at 5-under (211) for the tournament.
The Fighting Illini will be back in action on Monday, Oct. 7, when they will host the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah Country Club.
