Scholar Athlete of the Week | Lexanne Halama

Lexanne Halama set a new career-low 54-hole score of 207 (-9) at the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah, finishing in a tie for third place. Halama, competing as an individual, recorded an impressive 17 birdies, the second-most among the field. She also set a career-low single-round score of 67 (-5) in the first round before posting an identical 67 (-5) mark in the second round.

An Academic All-Big Ten, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, CSC Academic All-District, and WGCA All-American Scholar honoree during the 2023-24 academic year, Halama graduated from Illinois in the spring of 2024 with a degree in integrative biology and is now pursuing a master’s degree in integrative biology.
