University of Missouri women’s golf opened play at the White Sands Invitational Saturday, finishing the day in fourth above No. 46 Charleston in windy conditions.
Sophomore Fleur van Beek carded a two-over 73 on the day to finish tied for fourth individually. Her day was led by a consistent 15 pars through difficult conditions.
Junior Addie Dobson posted a four-over 75, finishing in a tie for 13th after round one, which was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on holes one and two.
As a team, the Tigers are tied fourth of 10 schools with No. 29 Kansas at +18 and No. 34 Purdue leading after the first 18 at +5.
The final round will be a shotgun start on Sunday at 8 a.m.
