Woosley-Reed, Murphy Inside Top 15 After Two Rounds at Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Tennessee golfers Evan Woosley-Reed and Bruce Murphy sit inside the top 15 after two rounds at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate as the No. 8/17 Tennessee men’s golf team is in eighth place.

Woosley-Reed showed up big time on moving day, firing a 4-under 68. The Shelbyville, Tennessee, native logged a 5-under bogey-free second nine that included three consecutive birdies to close the round.

He enters the final round tied for eighth at 3-under.

Bruce Murphy continued his momentum into day to shoot an even-par 72. He enters the final round tied for 13th at 1-under overall.

As a team, Tennessee shot 6-under in round two. The Vols are even-par through 36 holes. 

Lance Simpson and Kai Komulainen both sit tied for 46th ahead of round three.

Simpson gave UT a 1-under 71 on day two.

Freshman Jackson Herrington recovered from his first-round score and notched a 1-under 71. He enters day three tied for 63rd.
