PULLMAN, Wash. (November 13, 2024) – Washington State Women’s Golf inked Anya Cedo who signed a financial aid agreement to join the Cougars next fall, head coach Kevin Tucker announced Wednesday.
Cedo is from Manila, Philippines and currently plays for Wellspring Christian Family School. Cedo is a two-time IMG Academy Junior World Qualifier, placed sixth at the 2024 Ladies Philippine Open, 12th at the 2024 MAZDA U.S. College Prep Junior Golf Championship and was the low amateur winner at the 2023 ICTSI LPGT Mimosa Plus Championship. Cedo recently won the 2024 MAHA Junior International Championship – Class A title in Malaysia.
“Anya is an accomplished player from the Philippines who hits it a long way and has solid game through the bag,” Tucker said. “Anya comes from a family of golfers with her father being her swing coach and her older sister being a former D1 player. She has the knowledge and talent to make an immediate impact on our program.”
Cedo’s dad, Jose is a golf professional and her older sister, Annika played golf at Kansas and Texas A&M International.
