SEATTLE – The Washington women’s golf team and Head Coach Mary Lou Mulflur signed Wendy Tang Wednesday morning.

Tang signed her Big Ten Athletic Scholarship Agreement Wednesday and will join the Huskies in winter 2025.

Tang joins the Dawgs from Shanghai United International School in Shanghai.

She has competed in five pro tournaments in 2024, most recently where she finished seventh at the CLPGQ Shanghai Series – 4 where she shot 223.

She finished in first place at the Brandon Wu Championship back in July 2024 after posting a three round total of 208 which was 8 under par for the event.

Tang’s other Top-5 finish of 2024 was at the AJGA Dana Incorporated Junior Open where she finished in a tie for fourth place.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Wendy into our program,” Head Coach Mary Lou Mulflur said. “We believe she is an excellent fit both academically and athletically as her values are aligned with ours. She will have an immediate impact on our team. She’s a fabulous ball striker and brings an extraordinary work ethic that all of us can gain from.”
