Women’s Golf Adds Three on National Signing Day – Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.  – Head Coach Kristen Simpson and the Penn State women’s golf team added three players to the class of 2029 during Wednesday’s National Signing Day as Lillian Guleserian, Mara King and Audrey Lam will all join the Nittany Lions next fall.

“We are thrilled to welcome Audrey, Lillian, and Mara to the Penn State family,” stated Simpson. “They are an incredibly talented group that will achieve great things in Happy Valley. Each of them has enjoyed a successful junior career, and we look forward to helping them elevate their games to the next level. We’re excited about the depth and energy that they will bring to the program.”

Lillian Guleserian | 5-3 | Right | Westwood, Mass. | Westwood High School

Guleserian a four-year member and three-year captain of the varsity golf team at Westwood High School won the girls MIAA High School Championship as a freshman in 2021 and was named Team MVP. She improved her stroke average each year adding additional Team MVP recognition as a junior and senior (2023, 2024). This past fall she helped lead her team to a second-place finish at the State Championships finishing seventh as an individual. As a junior in 2023 she placed second in the State Championship leading her team to a third-place finish. That year Guleserian took home the sectional crown shooting a 64 for a first-place finish.

Guleserian has also had a decorated junior golfing career winning the 2023 New England Junior Championship and competing in the National Jr. PGA event that same year. She was named the 2024 Mass Golf Junior Player of the Year and placed third at the 2024 New England Women’s Championship.

Mara King | 5-3 | Right | Lake Mary, Fla. | Lake Mary High School

King has had a very successful junior career in Florida capturing the 2024 Golfweek International Junior Invitational championship to go along with four Florida Junior Tour top-5 finishes. King also placed third at the AJGA Junior at Toftrees in August and tied for fifth at the Ben An Junior Championship back in June. She was also a semifinalist at the Florida Junior Match Play Championship finishing third in the event. King won the 2023 Celebration Junior Championship as well.
