GUADALAJARA, MEXICO — The Maryland women’s golf team wrapped up its first competition of the spring season Saturday at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club.
Senior Panassaya Somchit led the Terrapins and tied for 23rd with a score of 224 (76-72-76), which was +8. Junior Nicha Kanpai tied for 30th with a score of 226 (71-76-79), which was +10.
Freshman Chananyu Chowiwattana tied for 39th with a score of 230 (76-78-76). Freshman Anna Pillard tied for 42nd with her score of 231 (76-76-79).
Daniela Burgos Ortega tied for 50th with a score of 234 (79-77-78).
The Terrapins finished 8th of 11 teams with a score of 909 (299-301-309).
Next, Maryland will compete in the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational in Sarasota, Fla. Feb. 16-17.
