RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico —The Badgers opened the 2025 spring season at the Puerto Rico Classic and wrapped up the three-day event finishing in 15th place. Against a talented field, Wisconsin finished with a team score of +17 at Grand Reserve Country Club, highlighted by freshman William Harned’s +1 performance.
Final:
No. 51 Purdue took the tournament title, carding a 825 at 39-under par. In second place was No.1 Ole Miss carding 833 at 33-under par. South Carolina trailed one stroke behind, carding 832 at 32-under par, and landing in third.
As a team, Wisconsin shot a 881, and shot 17-over par.
Round 3:
After shooting even par over the first two days, Harned continued to lead the Badgers, shooting a 73 on Wednesday, and ending tied for 55th.
Jacob Beckam had the best round of the day, and shot a 3-under par (69), causing him to move up 14 spots in the rankings. Graham Moody and Evan Myers finished 7-over par and in a tie for 74th place.
