Vols Tied For Sixth After Two Rounds At Cabo Collegiate

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – The Tennessee men’s golf team is in sixth place after two rounds at the Cabo Collegiate.
 
As a team, the Vols shot 1-over in round two and are tied with Stanford and one shot behind Texas Tech.
 
Junior Evan Woosley-Reed provided a spark for The Big Orange on moving day, firing a 4-under 67 to climb the leaderboard. The Shelbyville, Tennessee, native currently sits 1-over through 36 holes and is tied for 18th.
 
Redshirt Junior Lance Simpson provided Tennessee with its second-best round of the day after carding an even-par 71 that included a pair of birdies on his final two holes on Monday. Simpson enters the final round at 3-over and tied for 25th.
 
Josh Hill, who posted a second-round 73, also sits inside the top 25 at 3-over through two rounds.
 
Laurent Desmarchais gave UT its final counting score of the day after shooting a 3-over 74. The senior enters Tuesday’s round tied with Simpson and Hill.
 
Jackson Herrington carded a 76 on Monday and is in 77th.
 
Pearce Lewin, who is competing individually, shot an 80 in round two and is tied for 62nd after day two.
