CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini women’s golf is set to compete in the Spring Break Shootout at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Fla., hosted by Western Kentucky University. The two-day tournament will be played on Monday, March 17 through Tuesday, March 18.
THE SETTING
The Spring Break Shootout is held at the Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Fla. The event will be played on the South Course, which was designed by architect Kurt Sandness and former PGA Tour professional Tom Lehman in 1999. The course will be set up for a par 71 and will play 6,076 yards long.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
There will be 13 teams competing in the 54-hole tournament. Both days will feature 7:45 a.m. CT shotgun starts, with 36 holes of continuous play on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
THE FIELD
Along with the Illini, the 13-team field for The Chevron Collegiate will include Bradley, Daytona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville State, Memphis, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Seminole State, Stetson, St. John’s, Troy and Western Kentucky.
