Tournament Tidbits: B1G Women’s Golf Championship


HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. — The Wisconsin Women’s golf team travels to Maryland for the Big Ten Championship from Friday, April 18 to Sunday, April 20, at the Bulle Rock Golf Course. 

 

THE TOURNAMENT:  

The Championship will consist of 54 holes; 18 holes per day over three days, with the rounds beginning at 7:30 a.m. (CT) on Friday and Saturday, and 7:00 a.m. (CT) on Sunday.

THE FIELD:  

All 18 Big Ten schools will compete at Bulle Rock, including ranked teams: No. 5 Oregon, No. 7 USC, No.10 Northwestern, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 24 Michigan State and No. 27 UCLA. 

Wisconsin’s lineup will be: 1. Chloe Chan 2. Carly Carter 3. Vanessa Ho 4. Alexia Siehl 5. Kate Brody. Izzi Stricker will also travel as a substitute. 

WISCONSIN IN THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIP:  

Last season on the same course, Bulle Rock, Wisconsin placed 8th out of 14 schools at the Big Ten Championship shooting an 18-over score of 882. Individually, Chloe Chan led the Badgers, finishing at even par after shooting a 216 (74-69-73) to place 14th. 

Wisconsin has recorded a top-10 finish in the Conference Championship in each of the last 21 tournaments dating back to 2003. That includes seven top-5 finishes, including a 5th-place showing at the 2023 Championship. 

The Badgers’ highest-ever finish was a 2nd–place showing at the 2003 Big Ten Championship. 

THE COURSE:  

The Tournament will be played at Bulle Rock Golf Course which is a par 72 and plays 7375 yards. This marks the second consecutive year Bulle Rock will host the conference championship. 

The course sits on a large property adjacent to Chesapeake Bay. Based on the size of the property, the Championships Pace of Play has been set at a healthy 5-hours and 7-minutes. Bulle Rock was designed for high-profile championship events. The course offers an equally fair test whether teeing off on #1 or #10 as both sides provide a similar start prior to reaching fantastic closing holes.
