BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (theACC.com) – Led by Bryan’s Lee tournament-best 5-under 67, Virginia holds the lead after Thursday’s opening round of the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golf Championship at The Club at Olde Stone.
As a team, the Cavaliers recorded a 10-under 278, three strokes ahead of Louisville. The 10-under total matched UVA’s lowest team score since 2019 and equaled the Hoos’ second-round score from last season. Virginia placed three players in the top 15, with Lee leading the way with six birdies and a one bogey. Deven Patel followed closely and is currently tied for second at 4-under 68, while Josh Duangmanee carded a 1-under 71 to end the day in a tie for 15th.
Also tying for second in the individual leaderboard at 4-under (68) is Louisville’s Sebastian Moss and Duke’s Bryan Kim. SMU’s Williams Sides rounded out the top five with a 3-under 69, while nine players sit tied for sixth at 2-under 70.
Led by Moss, the Cardinals are in second place at 7-under (281), followed by North Carolina in third at 5-under (283), SMU in fourth at 4-under (284), and Wake Forest in fifth at 2-under (286).
The championship action continues Friday, April 25, with second-round play from Bowling Green, Kentucky, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Admission is free for every round of the 2025 ACC Men’s Golf Championship.
