Senior Ffion Tynan of University of Missouri women’s golf wrapped up her season at the NCAA Regional in Norman, Oklahoma, Wednesday, closing a historic season for the Tigers.
As a senior, Tynan recorded three top-10 finishes, including her first career top-five finish at the Johnie Imes Invitational. She led the Tigers this season with a stroke average of 73.83, finishing in the top spot on the team at four of the team’s ten tournaments. Her career stroke average of 73.79 is the fourth best career mark in MU history.
Following eight straight top-15 finishes, Tynan landed inside of the top-200 golfers in the NCAA, earning the Tiger’s first individual NCAA regional bid since Jessica Yuen in 2021.
In the final round of the tournament Tynan carded a six-over 78 to finish with a 54-hole score of 230 (79-73-78). In a field of 65 golfers that included 22 ranked inside of the top 150, Tynan finished in 55th overall. Her performance was highlighted by two birdies on the back-nine during the second round.
