Six members of the University of Missouri women’s golf team were honored for their work off the course on Monday, earning selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Teams.
Senior Ffion Tynan, juniors Addie Dobson, Melanie Walker and Jade Zamora, sophomore Fleur van Beek and freshman Alexandra Berglund all collected the accolade for Mizzou. The Tigers’ six selections are tied for the second most in the SEC and 10th-most nationally during the 2024-25 academic year.
In order to qualify for the academic accolade, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season and have played in 50 percent of the school’s regularly-scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
On the course, the Tigers continue to make strides and have raised their ranking each of the last three seasons. Tynan became the first Tiger since 2021 to earn an individual bid to the regional rounds of the NCAA Championship, while the team finished the year ranked No. 64 nationally – a rise of 56 spots in the rankings.
