Florida State’s Woad Named Scholar-Athlete of the Year, 2025 All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team Announced

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheACC.com) – Florida State junior Lottie Woad has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year and headlines the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team, announced Tuesday, July 8.

Woad, who closed the 2024-25 season ranked No. 2 in the Scoreboard individual rankings and No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), becomes the first Seminole since Amelia Williamson in 2022 and second overall to earn Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. In June, Woad was also named to the 2025 All-American Scholar Team by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the third time in her collegiate career, and to the Academic All-District Team and All-American First Team by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The Farnham, England, native was a key contributor for a Florida State team that claimed its first-ever ACC Championship. Woad tied for third in stroke play, her best finish ever at the conference championship. Following the season, Woad was named a consensus All-American by the WGCA and Golfweek, as she finished with a 70.06 stroke average – the third-best mark in school history. She finished under par in 10 of her 11 collegiate events, tied the school record with a score of 65 twice, and won two individual championships (at the Landfall Tradition and the Moon Invitational).

In addition to Woad, all 15 players named to the All-ACC Team also earned spots on the All-ACC Academic Team. The honorees include: Andie Smith (Duke), Mirabel Ting (Florida State), Lottie Woad (Florida State), Megan Streicher (North Carolina), Marie Madsen (NC State), Mackenzie Lee (SMU), Megha Ganne (Stanford), Paula Martín Sampedro (Stanford), Meja Örtengren (Stanford), Andrea Revuelta (Stanford), Kelly Xu (Stanford), Amanda Sambach (Virginia), Carolina Chacarra (Wake Forest), Chloe Kovelesky (Wake Forest) and Macy Pate (Wake Forest).
