Dores Head West to Open New Season – Vanderbilt University Athletics – Official Athletics Website

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The No. 13-ranked Vanderbilt men’s golf team opens the 2025-26 season this weekend, as the Commodores head west for the 2025 Carmel Cup. Play takes place Friday-Sunday at the Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach, California.

Tournament Format and Schedule
The 2025 Carmel Cup, hosted by Texas Tech along with Fin and Beth Ewing, is a six-count-five 54-hole stroke play tournament. Teams will play one 18-hole round per day beginning on Friday and concluding on Sunday.

Friday’s Round 1 and Saturday’s Round 2 will tee off between 11:40 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. CT. The final round of the 2025 Carmel Cup opens Sunday from 8:30-10:50 a.m. CT.

Course Information
The Spyglass Hill Golf Course is 7,026 yards and plays as a par 72. Located in Pebble Beach, California. Spyglass Hill is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design that was completed in 1966. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA TOUR is played at Spyglass Hill, as well as Pebble Beach Golf Links, in February.

Tee Times
Vanderbilt opens Round 1 at the 2025 Carmel Cup on Friday between 12:48-1:50 p.m. CT. Tee times for Rounds 2 and 3 will be set based on the results of the previous rounds. Fans can click here for a full list of pairings each day.

The Field
A total of eight teams will be at the 2025 Carmel Cup. Six of those eight teams were featured in the Golfweek 2025-26 Men’s Golf Preseason Rankings, which had the Commodores ranked No. 13. Vanderbilt will battle No. 1 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 19 Texas Tech, No. 21 Georgia, No. 28 Mississippi State, Arkansas and TCU in Pebble Beach.
