North Carolina’s Keaton Vo is tied for fourth at 2-under-par 138 and Niall Sheils Donegan is tied for eighth at even par after the first two rounds Monday in the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.
The Tar Heels are third in the 15-team field at 3-over 563, four strokes behind Virginia (1-under 559) and one shot in back of Texas Tech (+2). Georgia Tech is fourth (+7). Texas and Vanderbilt (+8), Alabama (+9), Auburn (+11), Oklahoma (+11) and Stanford (+12) complete the top 10.
Vo shot 70-68, while Sheils Donegan carded rounds of 69-71. Virginia’s Ben James and Texas Tech’s Connor Graham share the clubhouse lead at 4-under 136.
Carolina’s Andrew Riley (69-72) is tied for 13th at 1-over 141, Carson Bertagnole (72-73) is tied for 40th at 5-over 145 and Sihan Sandhu (71-76) is tied for 49th at 7-over 147.
